ABOUT ABOUT

This course is now open to all therapists, counsellors, coaches, pastoral counsellors or other mental health professionals actively engaged in 1:1 work with clients.

Please go to this link to register for this group.

Welcome to the IFSCA Stepping Through Program! If you are familiar with the MAPPS studies with MDMA and Trauma then you will be aware of the parallels between IFS work and some medicine work.

This course is designed for mental health professionals/coaches/shamans who wish to learn the IFS model in a cohort of like-minded practitioners. Increasingly practitioners and clients are working with medicines - Psychedelics, Empathogens, Entheogens etc. to facilitate their healing and growth. IFS offers the possibility of facilitating the integration of non-ordinary experiences by attending to the different parts connected to the set and setting of the experience, as well as providing the tools to navigate the various journeys. Exploration and loving of the  parts post-journeying can also facilitate integration.

The main difference between this course and the regular Stepping Stone course will be most noticeable in the Consult Q&A sessions. Content from your work with medicines and clients is welcome. You will learn how to attend to some of the common parts arising in preparation for journeying (anxious, excited, hopeful etc.) You will also be able to help clients be present to their parts during their journeys as well as being able to help them with integration; which may involve working with invalidating parts, confused parts, parts holding trauma etc.

Program Materials

You will receive a 90 page course manual that supports the course and many vídeos of live  IFS sessions that demonstrate the application of the IFS protocol. The vídeos are annotated so each intervention is clear.

Each didactic teaching session and consult group is recorded for your use alone and each of the four modules is accompanied by a teaching video outlining the key points.

Course Structure and Class Size

4 modules will be repeated 4 times. The course structure is:

Week 1: Teaching and Demonstration - With Derek Scott or a Senior Staff
