ABOUT ABOUT

This is an advanced weekend. In order to take this weekend course you must have taken an IFSCA course or IFSI Level 1.

***If this event is sold out please register for the "Interest List" at the registration button and you will be informed when it next runs.***

During this weekend you will be invited to become more familiar with your own “grief cluster” that responds to the inevitability of attachment and loss. You will be invited to explore your own loss history – what your parts learned as a child – and your body’s relationship to grief. We will look at the applicability of a “loss lens” to midlife, aging and other life transitions.

You will learn how attention to, and appreciation for the parts that helps us with this all-too-human process naturally leads to the Self-led gratitude for the gifts inherent in connecting.

This weekend offers a mix of didactic and experiential opportunities to:

  • become more confident in working with many kinds of loss
  • integrate bereavement theory with the IFS model
  • understand what makes grief unique as a process
  • explore how your personal loss history has informed your system
  • identify where and how is grief is held in your body
  • participate in or observe a demonstration of how to work with grief
  • celebrate the legacy and gifts of connection
  • appreciate how IFS encompasses the Spiritual dimension of loss
  • ask as many questions as you need
  • continue to develop community with other IFS-informed folk
  • develop the skills to support your clients
