This course is for participants from Bipoc communities only and will occur at the same time every week for 3 hours for 16 consecutive weeks, Tuesday morning 10:00 am - 1:00 pm EST (7-10 am PST), starting Jan 17 - until May 02, 2023
This is the first time IFSCA is offering this course exclusively to a Bipoc cohort and the lead instructor (Derek Scott) and support staff are not members of the Bipoc communities. We are hoping at the conclusion of the course that suitable candidates will be available to take support staff roles in future, leading to a Bipoc-led cohort.
You will learn the IFS model, have many supervised practice sessions (recorded for your personal review), learn to recognise your own "therapist parts", discover how to access more of your own "Self energy" and have the opportunity to have all of your questions answered. You will also have the opportunity to participate in and/or witness live demos.
There is a 90 page manual that supports the course and many recorded and annotated IFS sessions that demonstrate the application of the IFS protocol. Each didactic teaching session and consult group is recorded for your use alone and each of the four modules is accompanied by a teaching video outlining the key points

Requirements:
Stepping Stone is open for therapists, counsellors, coaches, pastoral counsellors or other mental health professionals; however you must be actively engaged in 1:1 work with clients to be able to practice and implement the teachings.
Attendance
Students can only miss a maximum of 6 hours live sessions to still be able to graduate.
